Present Simple

Present Simple : We use the simple present to talk about habits and work routines.

  Mr. Iskandar Alamsyah wakes  up at 7 a.m. He goes to the gym and spends an hours there. He has  breakfast and than walkes. To the office by motorcycle. He takes  Midday prayer at the break time, and He has Padang Rice and a glass of juice for lunch after prayer.

 He works  until 3 p.m. in school and leaves the office at 4 p.m. On his way hame from the office, he often stops  to buy something to bring hom. At weekens He goes swimming with his family.

Faisah Cifian Activities Days

Faisah cifian  is a student of SMKN 11 Jakarta majoring accounting , for 9 hours. I study several different lessons every day.

When I'm at home in Jakarta, Indonesia. I wake up at 4:30 a.m. every day. I live with my family.

I leave for school at 5:40 a.m. And arrived at 6:00 a.m. Then I studied until 3:00 p.m. And on Friday, I underwent a choir extracurricular activity at 3:30 p.m. 

And when I go home I do homework. I slept at 10:00 p.m., and got up and did everything again.


On weekends I do all the homework and take a break.

1)     What’s your favorite time of the days and why?morning / afternoon/evening

Answer : My favorite time is of the days is at evening because at evening  i can rest relieve the fatigue that has occurred.

2)     What do you usually do on Sunday?

Answer : I usually do on Sunday is help mother clean the house , play with my younger sister , ironing school uniforms , tidy up books for Monday , sleep , and do homework.

3)     Which days are you busy during the week?

Answer : I am busy during on Wednesday,Friday and Sunday.

4)     What’s your birthday?

Answer : my birthday on july 02, 2003.

5)     Do you watch tv in the morning?

Answer : in the morning i don’t watch tv except holidays and santay days.

FORMING SIMPLE FUTURE PASSIVE

Forming Simple Future Passive

Affirmative Form	Object + will + be + verb3 (past participle)
Question Form	Will + object + be + verb3 (past participle)

Something be done by someone in the future.

Active : We will take the horses to the stable.

Passive: The horses will be taken to the stable.

Active : Will the manager sign the contract tomorrow.

Passive: Will the contract be signed by the manager tomorrow.

Active : Will the boss give me a job?

Passive: Will I be given a job by the boss?

Quick Exercise

Put the following sentences into passive voice. (will future passive)

1.      Will he pick up the kids tomorrow?

Passive : Will the kids be pick up by him tomorrow ?

2.      The next earthquake will destroy the city.

Passive : The city will be destroyed the next earthquake

3.      Jane will buy a new computer.

Passive : A new computer will be bought by Jane.

4.      Millions of people will visit the museum.

Passive : The museum will be visited by millions of people.

5.      Will the company employ a new worker?

Passive : Will A new worker be employed by the company ?

6.      They will not show the new film.

Passive : The new film will not be shown by them.

7.      Our boss will sign the contract.

Passive : The contact will be signed by our boss.

8.      Her boyfriend will install it.

Passive : It will be instaled by her boyfriend.

9.      Will the plumber repair the shower?

Passive : Will the shower be repaired by the plumber ?

10.  He won't see Sue.

Passive : Sue will not be seen by him.

Forming Passives With Modals

Affirmative Form	Object + may, must, can, could, ought to, should + be + verb3
Question Form	Must, may, can, should, might + object + be + verb3 (past participle)

Something must / can / should... be done by someone at sometime.

Active : Our English teacher may give an exam today.

Passive: An exam may be given by our English teacher today.

Active : Thomas has written many books.

Passive: Many books have been written by Thomas.

Active : Do you have to pay the bill before leaving the restaurant?

Passive: the bill have to be paid before leaving the restaurant?

Active : Juan can give them some information about the job.

Passive: Some information can be given about the job by Juan.

Passive2: They can be given some information about the JOB by Juan.

Active : You must obey the traffic rules.

Passive: The traffic rules must be obeyed.

Quick Exercise

Put the following sentences into passive voice. (Modals)

1.      We may ask him a few questions.

Passive  : A few questions may be asked by him.

2.      I can manage a motor car.

Passive : A motor car can be managed

3.      You must inquire the way.

Passive : The way must be inquired.

4.      He might give you a chance.

Passive : A chance might be given.

5.      I could show you his house if you would permit me.

Passive : His house can be shown to you if you would permit

6.      I should enjoy a sea-voyage.

Passive : A sea-voyage should be enjoyed.
